- What kind of confusion? Windows phones have Windows Phone 7 (and can't be upgraded then to Windows Phone 8) or 9. Android phones have Android (comes several versions). You pick what you like.

So you want to start using technology you don't know yet. That makes sense: keep leanring.
- You don't know Android, so you could buy an Android phone.
- You don't know Windows Phone, so you could by an Windows Phone phone.
- You don't know iOS, so you could buy an iPhone.
- You don't know the Blackberry OSr, so you could even buy a Blackberry phone.

What a choice you have! Only you can decide which to choose. Maybe have a look at phones of a few friends, colleagues or family members to see what you like most.

You will find Amazing deals on Windows Phone. Why? Because, from what we can tell they are all being left behind. Here's an article about it. But that doesn't mean it's not a good phone. (debateable) but it does mean that I would not pay for one! That is, if the phone was free and same service costs as the others, I might consider it.
