Several days ago I had a phone conversion with a wireless carrier whom I will not mention; The conversation got to whether or not there truly is such a thing as a 4G wireless network that everyone is boasting about.
Their take was that there really is no such thing as 4G but instead it is simply 3G enhanced/boosted. Lastly the person mentioned that 4G would not be fully usable for at least 50 years down the road.
The following day I had the privilege of talking to someone at HTC who simply stated that indeed there is a 4G wireless network. Furthermore the person hinted only but would not come out and admit it that 5G is up and coming.
So, before I spend any money on a new phone with 4G abilities.
Could/would someone please set the record straight? Is the person from the unnamed wireless provider right or is the person from HTC correct? Or are they both right in parts?
PS I hope I did not confuse anyone in all the above.
