GT-B2100 update

Hello, I have GT-B2100. The last month my battery lasts very little. I want to update it.
I have installed New PC Studio 1.5, but when I connect it with cable, it cannot recognise it.
Any ideas, what the problem might be?

...charge the device ??? Keep in mind that some cables will only charge the device and not allow data transfer. That is the first thing to check.

Yes, the cable charges the device.
So I need another cable?
The original one from Samsung?

A replacement cable (make sure it supports data transfer) is a relatively cheap solution (hopefully). Have you tried to contact the manufacturer yet ? You might try a master reset, but keep in mind it could clear the contacts/applications/messages stored in the device and return it to original factory specs. Let us know what you find out.

Yes, it is compatible.
With bluetooth, pc studio, it recognise it, as bt-2100.
But, without cable, i can't do the update...

1. It's one of those charge only usb cables.
2. There's something amiss with Windows or a driver.

For now I'd let the phone company do the update as fixing this is something I've only done when I can get at the PC.
