Manage updates with the Download App
I'm trying to install some games onto my new Pantech P5000 phone, but when I click on the .jar file, it says "not supported format".
What format do I need? Or what am I doing wrong?

If I had found the answer in the owner's manual, I wouldn't have needed to ask the question here...
I looked at this and didn't see where such was supported.

Are there other game file types besides .jar that might work for me with this phone? Or am I just out of luck?
I see this is a BREW OS phone.

Sorry but are you conversant with the various systems?
Not many are but since this is "BREW" you could look for that. It is not a Java phone.

I haven't had a cell phone since '04 until I picked this up.

...that is the first thing that I would have checked if I was in your situation and I wasn't sure you had done so. I am glad that you did some additional feedback and hope you come up with a workable solution.

I looked around for a website that I could download free brew-based games/apps from, but either such a website doesn't exist or I'm too dense to find it.
BREW apps are rare.

Most developers are going after 2 names and that's it. Even the Java app craze is over.
