Best 'wifi sharing' smartphone plan?

I want to buy a smartphone that has 4G wifi sharing to make it a personal mobile hotspot for my Ipad and laptop etc...

Who has the best plan going? I have tried phoning the carriers but their sales associates are so poorly trained, I can't get the same answer twice. I thought Tmobile had a good 'month to month' plan (5GB at 4G speed for $30 w/100 talk minutes, but 3/6 salesmen said wifi sharing was allowed on this plan and 3 said not allowed.....they are USELESS)

Anyone out there have an existing plan with 4G and plenty of GB for a good price, contract or not, that they can recommend?

Also read the following thread regarding grandfathering of 'unlimited' data plans vs a 5G bucket w/ a current plan.

So, depending on which handset you will be using, tethering will be available to you for up to 5 devices. This is listed in the fine print in the first link above.

Any more clarifications I suggest perusing howardforums.com in the t-mobile sub-forum.

You might also first consider who has the coverage you need, then look at carriers for tethering.
