Sorry people to ask the stupidest question ever but I really need an answer to this question, am already 100% sure I know the answer but need confirmation. I need to know does a mobile pnone cable hold data, I wanted to know if I used a cable to transfer data from my phone to pc, then if I let someone else use the cable to transfer data of their phone to their laptop, can they end up with any of my data that was on my phone. so does the wire have Capability to store data that someone else can take as I don't want someone to use my wire if they can take my data. I know it sounds like a dumb question but please explain this to me. thanks

The cable is only capable of transferring data and/or charging the device. It does not store/retain your data. In this sense, it is generally safe to borrow a cable for this purpose.

It would be like have an electrical extension cord. Once you unplug it from the wall, there is no more electricity.
