LG Optimus M MS690 will not charge :(

I have noticed that my charger has become more and more picky about how I position it. I would need to push it just right to the right or left to get it to charge. Now it does not charge no matter what I do. I am thinking the charger prong thingy is warped out of shape or worn out, or worse the interior receptacle for the charger is instead! sad Any advice on things to try?

By the way the charger cord flies right out of the receptacle without any hesitation. There is not tension there. When I pull it it flies out.

Simply buy a new charger

Most can be had for a song on Amazon, etc. Many of the generics can work just fine as replacements.

A new charger might help, but I suggest the OP try it at the store before buying it. I suspect the charger port in the phone might be loose. I had a similar issue w/ an older LG device that got replaced by warranty service a few years ago.

I too have the same issues with my ms690. Both the supplied cable and metro's generic replacement chargers have failed me. I have used a Samsung micro charger plug and found that it one connects better. There seems to be more mass and poorer fit on the LG 's big bulky plastic/rubber block at point of insertion against the curved body of the phone. The samsung plug is much smaller at the same spot and I have not had the same problem since. Hope this helps .
