Cell Phone changes

I have a HTC HD2 with windows 6.5 installed I want to get a Android phone or operating system. I googled this on Youtube there are folks there who say the phone can be converted. Does anyone here know if it is indeed possible to remove the windows and indeed upload Android to this or any phone?

It puts the phone in a no support zone. Makers and cellular providers treat it like an upset skunk.

I've had versions of Android running on early HTC handsets running both WM6 & 6.5. You might not be satisfied with the results since flashing such a phone requires some degree of patience and a crapload of tweaking. Buying a new handset with Android on it already is a heck of a lot nicer experience IME and O.

The place to investigate this is XDA. I suggest you be prepared to do at least a couple weeks straight worth of reading/learning/studying the basics before you post any questions. Here's the URL:
