I like the commercial i see on this phone and what it is capable of doing....BUT, i do not want if for use as a phone. Is that possible, or it could only be bought as a phone?

For example, some models require a cellular connection for the GPS to function. Would that kill this idea?

I did not know it came with a GPS. But i had a small GPS i bought for my car, and it worked without any 'network' other than the antenna...in other words ...free.

Still need to know what you consider it "doing"

I offered just one of the features that dies without a cellular connection. At a test I was on travel for a week overseas and turned off the cell radio. The date and time randomly would change so that rendered it useless on many other functions.

Rather than have me guess what you were expecting this unit to do and tell you what fails without a cell connection can you tell what the doing is?

the Samsung galaxy to me is a nice phone since it has new apps that the analog phones doesn't have. the price is fair as well and sweet to watch movies and ads.

Great tech but needs protection

The Samsung Galaxy has great technology with numerous applications no doubt. But want thing i dislike about this Samsung galaxy phone is that it is not user-friendly and if you got one, you have to handle it with care since the casing are not really good to protect it.
