What's the Best Verizon Non-Data Plan Phone?

I'm looking for a phone that doesn't include the $9.99 data plan...don't need it, don't want it. This will likely mean that the phone I'm looking for is a discontinued one. So, what's the best discontinued phone that doesn't require a data plan? I use a Samsung D900 (ATT) which is a 3MP camera and really thin slider. I don't know if it can get better than that, but I have to switch to Verizon...any help?

There are plenty of basic flip phones that would fit the bill for you switching to Verizon. The D900 on ATT certain is not what I would call a 'good' handset (even on ATT's scale).

Anyway, check out one of the following currently available free models that won't cost you an additional $9.99/mo for data.

Nokia 2705
LG Accolade
LG Cosmos
Samsung Smooth

Hi,
HTC XV6800, XV6900, or the Palm Centro you can activate they w/o a data plan.If you do decide to activate a smart-phone w/o paying for an unlimited data plan, make sure you "block national access" on the phone.

Nothing with the carriers is set in stone

They can change their policies day to day if they like. First, contact a reliable Verizon rep you trust and inquire before obtaining the device.
