Droid wins, hands down (at least for me)
I've had both phones and can tell you it depends on what you want from the phone. All things being equal, if you want a smartphone experience where you can sync contact, calendar, outlook to the device, only the Droid will work. The Rogue has decent email options, but it's all run through the Verizon branded UI - so getting to an email takes about 2 minutes of loading, very painful experience. Also, the web browsing experience on the Rogue is somewhat painful. If that's not important to you, the the Rogue is a decent phone, good call quality, great messaging phone in terms of the physical keyboard and options available (IM, SMS, MMS, and email). However, IM on the Rogue gets charged as SMS. A $9.99 data plan is required for the Rogue.
The Droid is a stealth bomber in comparison - almost literally as it feels as heavy as one. Of course, form is a very personal decision so I'll suffice it to say that I didn't like the form very much. The Rogue was much more pocketable. The Droid syncs great with Google services, Outlook, and Exchange. Calendar and contacts sync, the email experience is very similar to that on the computer - fast and flexible. I did feel like with the Droid while there's a high level of customization opportunity, I had to go to the Android Market to find apps to customize it to the level that worked for me. Ultimately, that's not how I want to spend my time so I returned the Droid. I will say that the navigation service is very cool on the Droid. Unmatched by any other platform at this point, and free. The Droid does require a $30 data plan.
Good luck with your decision!
