Cell phones forum: Which cell phone has the best reception for AT&T voice calls

...since you are on the edge of civilization/ATT coverage area, all bets are off. Each phone will be for the most part trial and error until you find one that works properly to hold a call adequately. I'd try some of the older phones actually, like the varios Nokia candybar style handsets. The do very well generally for holding onto a single bar of coverage, and probably do better since they do not have 3G (won't bounce from poor 3G to mostly poor 2G service). Most of the Nokia candybars are no longer offered through ATT though, you'd go through ebay or craigslist per se. The picture quality won't be the best either, but they work fine. Something like a Nokia 3595 or 3120. You could also grab a Motorola RAZR, they generally are strong performers RF-wise and the camera is usable.

...you could try. Look on the ATT site. Keep in mind some of the 'free' phones don't do much, but they might actually hold a call better than some of the more expensive 'smart' phones . YMMV.
