Cell phones forum: LG Venus VX8800 Pink -Display Problem and Call Answer Delay

The trouble started this fall. Every time my wife answered her phone, the first "Hello?" she uttered was not heard by the other party. Each call she received, same thing - the first several seconds there was no way she could be heard. Also, the display was extremely slow when pressing buttons. The final straw was when she made calls and was not heard at all on the other side.

We brought it in and they did a hard reset and a flash update. It worked well for a day, then had the same problems with the first "Hello" and the slow buttons. We brought it in again and they replaced it with a factory refurb. After an hour of using that one, we got a NEW problem. The display started not refreshing correctly between screens, leading to overlapping graphics, ghost images, etc.

We brought back the refurb and they gave us another. That one performed well until the next day, when the same display refresh issues appeared. AND the "Hello" delay issue is back! Today we will be going in to have this one replaced.

Anyone else experience such and issue? Any ideas?

Note: I have the black version of the same phone, and have never had either of these issues. Are these actually different models?
