This is from the Cnet review of the LG, the iphone in real world usage has 4 hours more battery life.

'The LG Voyager VX10000 has a rated battery life of 4 hours talk time and 20 days standby time. It fell a bit short in our battery tests, reaching 3 hours, 45 minutes of talk time. That's still a decent result for a CDMA handset, but it's 4 hours less than what the iPhone delivered. According to FCC radiation tests, the Voyager has a digital SAR rating of 0.765 watt per kilogram.'

The Voyager is 55% thicker and still less battery life.

In the end people are not going to care about the details of the 3G network... they are going to want battery life. What is the point of a 3G network with a browser that cannot render webpages properly?

The voyager web browser is far behind when it comes to handling complex webpages.

..... yet this review didn't even mention it, not even a hint.

The Voyager is 1/4 inch thicker (0.71" versus 0.46") than the iPhone so there's no disputing that it's thicker. However, the Voyager has 2 screens and a full keyboard. Obviously, that's going to add some thickness. Some people might prefer a slightly thicker phone in order to have a physical keyboard. From what I've been hearing and reading, typing on the iPhone is good but not great.

The hardware can update, the specs can update but having the best phone OS and software is a critical and I belive that the iPhone is way ahead.

The SDK is not even out for anyone but Apple's select developers, yet developers have developed 100's of apps for jailBroken iPhones and iTouchs. I believe this is the next Palm movement.

Apps that I have used include the following, I have just gotten started >

1. NES emulator with 200 working games, that I enjoy to play... really
2. Everything converter, live updated currency, measurement
3. iRadio - all of shoutcast's streaming radio stations on your iPhone
4. Jiggy - make iPhone programs with nothing but a web browser on your computer, the complier is on the phone
5. weDict - a open dictonary app
6. 'chat' open Chat programs to bypass SMS
7. file browsers
8. web servers
9. unix terminal
10. orb portal to connect iPhone to winamp remote
11. locations, a webcam app with director of webcams and random search
12. widget, use Mac OS widgets on your iPhone
... and lots of silly games and UI tweak proggies.

And the real magic is that you install all of these on the phone with the click of a button and no PC needed.

Any chance we'll see an updated prizefight with the iPhone II and the Voyager? Much was made in the original about the iPhone's lack of apps, 3G, and GPS, which were added with the latest iPhone.
