Cell phones forum: How to put music in my lg vx8550 chocolate

is there any way to get around the fact that the music player on the phone won't read into folders you place in that "my music" folder?

The main problem that I'm experiencing is that having a bunch of song title inside of 1 directory, is not what I call a good solution, especially when you're getting up near several gigs of music.

Can you somehow get the music player to scan through more than just the my music directory?

i dont know how to format my memory card on my phone can anyone help me because i cant get music on it i did everything i synced it on media player i dragged my music over but when i put it in the phone it doesnt read it? i put my friends in and it did read it and got the music and i have the same memory card. well my memory card was for a motarola phone actually because it was my dads for his razor anyone help??

I have experienced the same problem this week when I first bought my lg chocolate on Sunday. I have been using verizon tech support, best buy help, geek squad, and in-store verizon tech support. My music files would not show up on the phone, but memory indicated the card had files on it by amount of space used. I played someone else's card(at the verizon store) in my phone and it worked, but not my card in hers or mine.
I exchanged the micro sd card and the same thing still happened. Nothing! Tonight after discussing this by phone with a tech rep, we thought it might be my phone. SO. I go again to Best buy, but as a last ditch effort before exchanging the phone, I returned the micro sd card and bought a San Disk 2 GB - same thing- but more expensive by $10. IT WORKS. The one that did not- was PNY, made in japan.
