LG vx8300: Getting photos OFF the phone

Hello folks,
I have an LG Vx8300 phone, which I quite like. I don't have VCast enabled anymore, which is how I like it. I don't use it to play music, though I have enabled MP3 capability just for the hell of it.
In fact, other than using it as a phone, I only use it as a handy camera. But the only way I know of to get the photos OUT of the camera is to email them to myself one at a time for a small fee to Verizon. I asked at the store, and the Verizon employees didn't know of any other way. I looked on the LG website, and couldn't find conclusive information. I poked around here looking for information, but mostly I've found comparatives and instructions on enabling MP3s.
What I want to know is, how can I get photos I have taken with my LG VX8300 Camera-Phone OFF my phone, onto my computer? I've found how to get photos ON the phone, but that's the opposite of what I want.
Now, I've found info that says I may be able to get a USB cable for my phone, and I know I could get a Micro SD card. I currently have neither, but I wouldn't care to buy one only to find it didn't help. Do either of these accessories work for getting photos off the phone and onto my computer?
