What's probably missing from your phone are the settings for 'net access via Cingular. I haven't used a V360, but I'm guessing there's a menu somewhere for internet access. Open up that menu, and then call customer service on a separate line and see if they can help. Mind you, they'll probably tell you they don't support that phone, but you never know until you ask.

Slvr Unlocked Phone

Hi,
Just bought an unlocked Slvr and also have Cingular. Are the settings you listed to access the web universally effective or only relevant to certain phones?
I cannot access the internet with my phone though it works fine otherwise.
Best regards,
K

This should work universelly between Cingular and Motorola

This should work....provided that you have Motorola and Cingular. I've used this same instructions on my wife's L6, and she has a Cingular plan. No issues with her phone when I set it up, so it should work for your SLVR as well. Let me know if you run into any issues.
Good Luck

Please disregard that last message. I continued to look at the steps and realized that I had not set the file as the default. After doing that I was able to connect to the site and get the ring tone! Thanks for the great solution. Now all I have to do is get a media package for all the kb it used to do that.

Yeah, I do admi that the steps that I posted may not be one of the easiest to follow. Even I had to go through alittle trial and error. But I'm glad that you got what you needed out of it. Enjoy your L6.....:-)

i don't think so.

Not really....this lsit was something I found on the net, and just went through what was said. For the Auto-Clean, that is purely a cell phone maintenance setting. I have mine set to 7. So I can only assume that you can set it to 5, 7, or never.

I have an unlocked Quad band L6 and I tried entering these settings but I still can't send MMS or acess the Internet.
I wasn't able to enter the group of settings with the Email Gateway and the Service Center No because I couldn't find where those settings were on my phone.
Any help would be appreciated. I'm driving myself over the edge trying to be able to send pic messages.

I do have Cingular.
All I really want to do is to be able to send picture messages. I don't really care about getting the Internet to work.
I've tried everything I can to set up the MMS but I keep getting Unable to Send Error Messages.
It's driving me crazy.

There is an automatic method..
by jgvillan - 6/28/06 12:01 AM
In Reply to: thanks by photosails
Try this, as this is an automatic thing that can go from Cingular.com to your phone..
1: Log into Cingular.com with your number and password.
2: Go to My Account, then My Phone.
3: Click on Phone/Device Support.
--Under that, Click on the hyper-link choose another phone/device.
4: Choose Motorola and L6 on the respective fields and then Next.
5: Scroll down to where it says Device Setup and click on the hyperlinks for Auto-configure device for media setup.
6: Follow the On-Screen instructions.
What this would do is to send an auto-setup signal to your L6 (through your cingular account/phone number) and should be able to auto configure your phone for MMS.
Hope that this works out for you and good luck

If you are with Cingular then just go to the Cingular.com web site and go to the phone tutorial. Just pick your phone from the Motorola list and follow the internet setup instructions.

Sorry to hear about your issues with your phone. When I found the origional MMS setup on the net, it was really for the Cingular network, not AT&T. However, follow this thread: http://howardforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=99022. It's something of a discussion on how to set up MMS for AT&T users. I realize that this is rather an old thread, however, this is what I found so far. It's on how to set up a Nokia, but there are names and IP addresses that you can input into your RAZR. I'll keep looking to see if there are anymore.
Hope that this helps and good luck.
