Hid lights

I have Hid kit for a 05 Ford f150 and when installed the bright light symbol on my dash lights up when the dimmer switch is on dim. The lights will not go from bright to dim,just stay on dim.When I unplug the little wire from the headlight the light symbol goes off, but the lights will not go to bright.Also when the lights are on and turn headlight switch to the parking lights,the headlights stay on til you turn them off complely.Have put two different kits on the truck same results, what is wrong?

Do you have a wiring diagram available? I'd be glad to help, but I need a bit more information. Have you compare factory wiring to the new kit?
