Jeep Grand Cherokee blend door problem

I have a 03jgc a/c blows out the defrost & heater vent but not the dash vents. Have check vac lines seem to be ok. Possible blend door broken? Had a similar prob on my 97 wrangler, that was the case then. Anyone else having this problem. Not a dual system just basic mechanical. Any help appreciated.

You likely have broken blend doors, and possibly a broken recirc door. These are both very common failures among 99-04 Jeep Grand Cherokees. Typically to fix the problem, a mechanic will remove the entire dash and replace the plenum assembly. There is a DIY kit that can be found online called heatertreater They provide hardware and instructions to fix the doors yourself by removing the glovebox. I put one in my jeep 3 years ago and it's still going strong.

98 Grand Cherokee

I have a 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Thanks to this site! I was able to address and fix my stalling issue! it has 230,000+ miles on it now and I believe there are electrical issues now. I am buying a new vechicle and wanted to give all you Jeep owners a chance to buy it if you want. It has a new alternator, PCM, Cat & Muffler, O2 sensor, a rebuilt transmission, body and interior is clean, will make a good parts vehicle. contact me at cm2acres@gmail.com

Blend door problems

I did the research, spent 30 min. in my driveway and fixed blend doors 3 months ago.;
Few weeks ago turned on a/c, hot air. Installed 2 cans freon, worked good for week. Codes are 52 and 56. Checked new blend air access panel and previous fix still works. Installed leak test and leak fix. Shows no leaks, but still not cold.
Help?
