I Purchased a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee LTD with a 4.7L engine.
Please keep in mind. I had the jeep fully inspected, when i purchased it. At the time it passed with flying colors. I have taken the Jeep to 3 shops. None or them are able to find the problem.
1 - Jeep will stall intermittently upon starting. Usally happens the when the engine is still warm.
2- Prior to stalling. The Jeep is idling very rough. Most of the time the engine idles slightly rough. When the rough idling is more severe, is when the Jeep stalls.
3- Jeep need to sit or engine needs to cool down for 20-30min. Before starting properly
4- Error codes showed engine running lean, #2 & #4 misfiring
5- Oil pressure gauge started running very high today, from 3 to 5.
6- I'm able to remove the key from the ignition, once Jeep is started and running.
7- Poor fuel usage. Current 24L/100km, Should Be 16L/100km
8- -New throttle body.
The following repairs have been done recently:
A- Fuel Pump
B- Fuel Filter
C- Cam Sensor
D- Injectors cleaned
E - New battery
F - New Serp belt
G - Oil changed with/ engine flush
