help/opinions on a audio system

I just bought my first car ('95 Mitsubishi Eclipse 5-Speed Manual). She needs a tone of work done at the moment, but she's a keeper. And since i'm kind of a noop at this i would really like and appreciate some help/opinions on what would be the best audio system to install. i'm talking about the whole sha-bang, Head Units, Amplifier, Speakers, and Subwoofers,

Barring that, the field is WIDE open. It all depends upon how much money you have to spend. Without a budget, it's near impossible to make any sort of reasonable suggestions. Plus, you're dealing with a 15 soon to be 16 yr old car...won't take much for a sound system to be worth MORE than the rest of your ride, especially if it has 'issues' which ISN'T surprising for just about ANY Mitsu Eclipse from that vintage. Kids used them up, and too many did it most badly. 40 years from now mint original Eclipses from that generation will be REAL collector's items, just because there WON'T be any such thing.

Sure you want to go down this road with this particular car?

SOLO Square

I would just go with a single solo barric square, 12in in a sealed box, and a 600watt kicker amp... mono-block.. you will be very happy..
As for your deck, either a pioneer or a premier would be my first choice, stay away from sony, they have a tendancy of not lasting to long under heavy load.
interior speakers, unless you are going to amp them out, just go 2-way and stay under 70 bucks for a pair.
