Car Tech forum: 99 Jeep Cherokee Stalling Need Help Please

Does it stall when you jam on the brakes or does it stall out while cruising? Any funky sounds you hear right before the stall could help diagnose it as well.

Im having the same stalling problem... I read forum about this problem on different year model may be the same.. google ... jeep grand cherokee stalling problem .. it will bring you back to this page another forum and it tell u to try and back out two screws that are two long..

"We found out what the problem is. One of the connections to the computer is no good. Each time we hit a bump, the connection losens causing the jeep to shut down. You might want to look into that with your jeep as well."

Seems to be engine compartment heat related also. In cool weather - does not seem to be a problem.

Did this fix the problem permanently ? If so, how did you fix the bad PCM block problem ? Replace the PCM or the bad block ? How were you able to test the bad block problem ?
