Car radio/cd player - radio wont work!

At the beginning of the year I bought a corsa which included a cd/radio player (pioneer DEHP6500R). The cd player plays fine, but I can't get the radio to work at all! Does anyone know how to tune them in, or could it be that it isnt connected to the arial? I am really clueless about this kind of thing, would really appreciate some help!

If the radio function just produce static noise, then it's highly possible that the aerial is not properly connected. Either the aerial cable is in poor condition (moist, cut, pressed, etc), or the connector is poorly connected (loose, rust, etc).
There could be other causes, but those are the first thing you need to inspect.

Also, when you scan for the stations see if the scanning process stops a few times at the frequency that you know there's a broadcasting station. If it is, then your car radio tuner is fine.
If it's not, then the tuner cannot get any signal. Check the aerial cable.
