Community poll forum: Which browser do you use most?

I actually use a variety, but then I am a beta tester, so have a natural curiousity to check out as many as possible. The three I use most and why.

Firefox-Security and a whole host of extentions to make the browser do more of what you want in a browser.

Advant Browser, for those times when you need to open a page you might not trust but that doesnt display well with Firefox.

I.E 7b3- Primarily for Windows update, although Advant Browser would do that, and to see what new features there are. After all, I did say I am a beta tester.

Whilst writing, I noticed the comment on the speed of firefox. The lastest version is much quicker than previous ones, and speed can be affected by lots of things, such as the extentions you use. I stripped a firefox version clean (Clean install) and compared the speed of that against IE. IE lost hands down. So you have a choice, features or speed. You cant,it seems, yet have both.

There is only one clear winner in the browser wars at the present moment..thats Firefox. There is no way IE6 can ever measure up to firefox, it doesnt look as if even IE7 will do that.The Speed , Safety, reliability, and tons of extensions to customise your web experience cant be touched by IE6 or 7. Opera is a good browser, better than IE6, but it doesnt quite match up to firefox.
And the final punch..I dont think anyone who has used Firefox and IE6 will ever prefer IE over firefox. The question itself is a no brainer.

I choose to use safari as compared to firefox makes the interface look a lot higher polished and utilises buttons and menu items in a much more atractive way.

Dispite what some people may think it has no problem opening the vast majority of sites and I have recently found none that I have a problem with.

I dislike Explorer as I find it slow to load pages and graphicly poor in comparison.

I dont really have much of an opinion on Firefox due to being bothered updating every time I start it up!!

Saying that as a media designer I do have to check my web sites on each browser to ensure compatibilty.

i mostly use IE 6, and i use that browser mostly because it is there on my system. i tried IE 7 beta but had nothing but trouble with it so reverted back to IE 6.

All mail is previewed at the ISP, it weeds out any with viruses so I don't even see those, so the ones downloaded are only the ones I want. In addition to my normal software, I also now have a hardware firewall, this double layer gives added security, my anti-virus programmes scans ALL incoming and outgoing mail, and both firewalls are 2 way, and regularly updated.

I have been a long time IE user through many versions but changed to Firefox to avoid all of the security issues with seemingly endless updates with IE.
I was plagued with pop-ups when I was redirected unwittingly to sites of a nefarious nature and IE actually froze on several occasion when the screen was full of opened windows. I couldn't 'control' IE like I can Firefox.
I was also troubled by the endless updates for IE and after the experience of downloading the latest MS Office Beta, feel that the sooner I extricate myself from MS the better off I will be! I had a legitmate version of MS Office Professional which was overwritten by the Beta - there was no warning given. My original disks are unusable and when the Beta expires I could be in a real fix. Then heard that MS were charging for the Beta! The latest Beta adds little in the way of functionality and has huge hard disk space requirements.

MS practices and strategies have turned me off their products and I find that with Firefox, I have an excellent browser which does what I want simply and effectively with a large user base with excellent and responsive support for new features and add-in features. I have found that MS support is negligible to zero.

I have been using Maxthon since it was MyIE2.
I use IE(7%), Firefox(3%) and Maxthon (90%) and Maxthon blows away Firefox. I can't believe all the people that use Firefox. If they just downloaded Maxthon and gave it a try, I am sure they would change.

I just had firefox installed and loved it, but it did not do anything that opera can do. If you love firefox, download opera. Because opera is better.

I would use Konqueror all the time when I'm using Linux, except that it is not very well supported by sites such as Gmail. Still, I like how it mimics IE perfectly except for the points where IE stinks.

I use IE 7 and the latest Firefox.I like them both.
