Lots of unused features, but use as modem
My phone has lots of features which I have never used - camera, mp3 player, calendar, address book. These are all better elsewhere, and as I have a tendency to lose phones I don't want other people's personal data lost as well. But I do use it as a modem with my laptop when travelling. GPRS is cheaper than landline dial up and twice as fast. I also have sat nav on my Palm, and link with the phone to get the traffic updates. I have been using mobile phones since they were the size of bricks. The best phone I have ever had was a Sony Ericsson T68i. It was tiny, light, reliable and did everything I wanted including bluetooth. Since then phones have got heavier and battery life is back where it was 15 years ago (ie charge every day rather than once or twice a week) because of all these unnecessary features. Perhaps I should sign myself grumpy old woman!
