Community poll forum: Which browser do you use most?

I use Explorer 6.0

I am currently using Maxthon version 1.3.1. Maxthon was originally called MyIE2 and I have used it for well over a year with no problem whatsoever. I first heard about it through this website as well as, dare I say it, PC World Magazine, so I assumed it should be worth a try and it has not disappointed. As a result of that I do not understand why Foxfire has been receiving so much publicity, good and bad, recently. I think Maxthon needs a new PR agent. BTW, I have IE6 for those times when I must download something from Microsoft but that is about the only time I used it anymore. I have Foxfire as well but seldom use it although it works better with my blog site than Maxthon does for some reason.

Firefox ver 1.0.4 is primary browser. (98% of the time)
Internet Explorer 6.0.29 with SP2 is used only when it appears the site uses extensive Active X and Firefox does not work.

I use internet explorer 6 - is there a newer version?

I guess you can figure out from my reply that I use Firefox, lol. Version 1.0.7. Been faithful to the browser since version 0.8.

I've seen quite a few people complain that "Firefox doesn't have this..." or "Firefox doesn't have that..." and MOST of the features these people complain about Firefox not having it DOES have via extensions. I can't help but wonder if they ever even bothered to take a look at the extensions pages before deciding the program didn't have what they wanted and uninstalling it.

The first time I tried Firefox, I didn't like it either. Can't remember what version it was at but it was back when it was called Firebird or something like that. I tried it for maybe 15 minutes and then uninstalled it and went back to my original browser which surprisingly, lol, was Mozilla. At the time I actually thought Firefox was too simplistic and not customizable enough *for you must admit, the little browser DOES look pretty simplistic at first glance*. But after hearing one of my friends rant and rave about it so much and pushing me to give it a REAL chance, I reinstalled it and swore to myself that I would stick to it for at least a week and fully explore everything it had to offer. I got hooked, and have been hooked ever since. It has been the one piece of software that has managed to be consistant on my computer *other than my OS, of course ;)*.

For those that complain that Firefox isn't offering them what they want, give it a fair chance. Check out all it has to offer before you say it doesn't offer what you want. It's extemely flexible, and since it is extremely flexible, it's also very vast in it's options and is nowhere near as easily dismissable as many other browsers out there are. Remember that Firefox is one of the reasons Microsoft ditched their Longhorn project and started all over in the form of Vista...

I use Firefox 1.0.7 for website testing and the latest nightly build for general browsing.

I do not use IE at all but I also use Opera for website testing

I've tried both Firefox and Thunderbird, but I stick with Mozilla 1.7.11. I like the integrated email client where I don't have to launch a separate ap to access my mail. I run Zone alarm for a firwwall behind my router and eTrust ezAntivirus for my virus protection. It's set for automatic updates since I'm on cable broadband 24/7 running SETI. So far I've haven't encountered any problems. Join the SETI program and help search for extraterrestrial signals. Who knows. You may be the one who decodes THE SIGNAL.

Firefox 1.0.1. I've had trouble with upgrades and never dl them until they are several weeks old.

I use firefox and like it very much. My second choice would be Opera.

I mostly use Firefox 1.07. I have tried Opera 8 but find Firefox much better.

I tend to use MSN all the time, I find it very easy to use. I don't actually do much surfing the net but I do use it for E Mails.
I have tried Internet Explorer but it never seems to work properly.
I now have Mozilla and Opera installed but I'm not sure how to use them yet.

I use web root and spy ware doctor, plus the same firewall as you ZA- and McAfee- and if I use MSFT IE for a 24 hour period I collect at least 40-60 spyware infections- which is terrible. Internet Explorer is unusable now- at least for me. I tried Firefox, but now use Netscape 8- which is more up to date and much more secure- when I use the Mozilla Firefox side, instead of the IE engine. There are now new and much better choices the IE.

I despise Explorer - have always used netscape...I use 7.2 - while I tried 8.0 and could get used to it - some new features I like - the fact that it's just a browser - without the email feature - made me return to 7.2

I use Safari 1.3.1. It is simple, fits all my needs and came with my computer. Good browser!!!

My only Problem is I have a real hard time moving my Profile. I don't know maybe its just me. And I do try to
follow the directions but it seems to never workout
