Tracked thread notifications should be sent out on an hourly basis, with multiple updates within an hour span being bundled into a single email.
The "comment notification preferences" are unrelated with no forum post equivalent. That's specifically for comments on blog pages, special features, etc.

I've had a suspicion for a while now that the e-mail notify for me was "borked".
I have this thread marked as "tracked".
Over 24 hrs ago I saw the little circle on the thread change to red.
Indicating a new post in the thread.
I did not open the thread.
I just let it sit to see how long it took to get an e-mail.
As of writing this post......no e-mail.
Yes....I get e-mail from other sources.
No....the Cnet mail is not in the junk folder.
Care to take a Wag?

I haven't used tracked threads much lately, so I just tracked this one to see if I get a notification on future replies. Try replying again and I'll be sure to ignore this thread until I get an email notification.

I received the email notification 3 hours ago, so it seems to be working but with a nearly three day delay. I'll send off an alert to get that looked into.

I see my alerts stopped about Nov 21 and so that was a dry spell.

Sorry about the disruption, but the Forums Tracked notification delivery system was down for a week or so and has now been fixed after the engineers gave a swift kick in the rear 
You all should be receiving updates now, including this note.
