Tip for lost ability to login to cnet

Just did something dumb with CCcleaner and forgot to save cookies. I lost my my cnet autologin and my ability to log in manually when using FF but IE was fine. No number of login attempts, altering cookie settings, resetting password, etc., got me in. I checked details on the Cnet cookie and found "gigya" as an element of it. I have "Do Not Track Plus" installed and checked the blocked sites. Gigya was there. I've not customized DNT+ and use it's suggested sites for blocking. I set gigya to "allowed", restarted FF and was able to log into Cnet again. Hope this helps someone.

Good find. I am always doing this with CCleaner although not since I installed DNT+

It is strange though I checked my DNT+ and that gigya is blocked. I wonder if it can be blocked again after you have had access for a day or two?

I had no trouble until I lost the cnet cookie. Now that I know what to do to fix it, I may try again to reproduce the problem. There have been quite a number of posts related to failure of the autologin to stick but doesn't seem to be one common fix when this happens.
