WMP12 in Win7 HOW TO CHANGE Properties of songs?

I have thousands of small files I downloaded or purchased that are old radio programs from the 40s. Many need to be listened to in chronological order because they tell a continuing story from one day to the next. Many of these files do not have matching titles and "values" as seen in the "Details" tab of Properties for each program (or "song). I want to find a way to automatically change in the name/title AND the Value in the properties at the same time. Example: "nameofshow episode 001 of 01.12.41. in the Properties/Details/ Value the same thing is listed as "name of show Dec. 12,1941 ep 001". I want them to read the same so that when the program appears in WMP12 it will be listed in the correct order.

And while there are very nice MP3 tag editors not one is an exact match. If you looked at file renamers and found nothing then why not learn some computer programming to do this?
