I want to burn mp3 and wma to a dvd, help!!

I want to burn mp3's and wma's to a dvd, and then be able to play the music dvd in a external device like a car stereo, boombox, or cd walkman. Is this possible? If it is, what computer program(s) will I need? My computer has a sony dvd burner, and windows media player.

Alsaxon had a similar question, but I did not see a suficient answer to his question.

I do not want to use mp3 players, or play the music dvd on a computer.

Such a DVD must be made to play in THAT SPECIFIC PLAYER. There is no standard here so you are stuck with dealing with YOUR SPECIFIC PLAYER and reading what meager documentation it came with.

There is no generic answer to this one.

I don't understand. Are you saying that it is not possible to burn music on to a dvd so it will play on a boombox? I only listed my the maker of my computer's dvd burner so you would know what computer equipment I had.

So, to clear up any misunderstanding:

I want to use the Sony DVD burner on my computer to burn music on to a dvd. I then want to insert that completed dvd in to a portable cd player or a boombox to play music. A cd has 800mb,whereas a dvd has 4.7 gb, it seems better to burn to a dvd. I have seen online that there are some programs that will burn music to a dvd, and then play in the computer, but all the ones I have found will not or do not state if the dvd with music burned on it will play in a portable cd-player(one that has nothing to do with a PC).

Without details about what Audio DVD that player supports I would be GUESSING how to make one that works in that player.

If your portable cd player or boombox

supports playing dvd media, then yes it will probably play. But I don't think your portable cd player or boombox does support dvd media. I have a home system that does support dvd media and does play audio burned to dvdr.
