Digital music forum: best audio editing software

best audio editing software

i am a drummer looking to add my own drum tracks to already composed songs, i have no experience with editing software but i am mainly looking to remove the drums on the song and add my own just for fun. if anyone could point me in the best direction for what i am trying to do please let me know what the best editing software is....thank you
