NEED PORTABLE DIGITAL MUSIC RECORDER

Would like to have a small, portable, digital MUSIC recorder that I could use as simply as a digital voice recoder, to record while practicing or composing music on my acoustic guitar (no amplification, no wires), or to record non-commercial musicfests for playback at my convenience. I'm afraid that a standard portable digital VOICE recorder wouldn't record music with sufficient fidelity. Suggestions ??

M-Audio has a device called the Microtrack 24/96

which is designed as a high quality audio recording device. It can do the things you mentioned, and more beside.
