4K TV reviews

Check out the monitors on Danny Sullivans set up

"My life with a treadmill desk -- e-mail and browsing at 2mph"

What do you think those 3 screens add up to? and how far away does his face look? This is a very common computer set up, one a large screen 4K tv could replace.

My guess is 3 x 27" monitors at 1.5 to 2' away from his face

One big screen 4K would look nice and could replace the living room TV, an all in one solution.

Lets take this one step further, make it a touch screen and the size of a school chalk board. Think of the many uses, in schools, business, public interface, everyday home use, and all a foot away from our face, anyone remember the scene from "total recall" sitting at the kitchen table watching the news on the wall, then changing to an outdoor picture like looking through a large window, we do have some large windows in our homes right? Why would a screen built into the wall be any diffrent? In fact you could make a windowless house with cameras outside and large screen monitors for windows, keep in the heat and cool, a more secure house, look outside where ever you want from any window (screen)

How long until we get something like that? Who would of thought we could see and talk through a 3" device or have screens we can carry in our hands like we saw on Star Trek 20 years ago.

As tech gets better, it starts to do everything, think of all the devices we now use today, that use to be 3 or 4 different devices.

Just trying to paint a picture of what could be, to help us understand that new tech is ever changing to benefit our lives in ways some of us have yet to even imagine, yet our children will take this as the norm.

Tech grows and changes every year, do not fear or hate it, embrace it, change with it, encourage it =D

This is why I come to CNET for my tech news and not a TV reviewers sight, to get the tech news on cars, TV's, computers, vacuums, blenders, phones, anything new and advanced.

I am not trying to bash our Cnet TV reviewers, only to point out articles that bash new tech have no place on a new tech web site. i.e. why 4K is stupid
