I am paralyzed, I need help with home surveillance?

I'm 29 years old, paralyzed from the shoulders down. I'm looking to put up surveillance cameras inside and outside my house. Not for security, but so I know what is going on around my property. I want to know where people are and what they are doing in case I need to call for them. I'm not looking to watch people who live with me constantly, just when I need them. Also to see outside my house for when people come to my house and to watch the deer and other animals in my yard. Now, wireless cameras are what I want without a doubt. But they are more expensive by quite a bit compared to wired. Is there a way to make wired, wireless? And if so, is it worth it? Or is it just better overall to purchase wireless systems from the beginning? Appreciate all help! Thank you!

A full wireless system . . .

will be much better. Trying to convert wired to wireless will involve more components. And more trouble. Were it me I'd go for as few devices as possible. Cost wise it will be cheaper because, again, fewer components.
