Usually it gets hit with import tariffs and forget about any warranty. If you feel it's worth the risk and no warranty then go for it. Your money, your choice.

And yes, the seller will tell you the warranty is good and it's working when they ship it.

If you provide the model number, I can double check for you. This has been an issue in the past when some US HDTVs have been taken along by expats for use abroad. Never hurts to have a second pair of eyes take quick look anyway.

90" model numbers: LC-90LE745U & LE745

80" model numbers: LC80LE632U & LC-80LE844U or LE844

My understand is that you can select the picture/video system to NTSC/PAL/AUTO regardless of where you buy the tv. My intention is to simply connect digital setop box and bluray players via HDMI inputs.
