How get rid of STRONGVAULT after failed codec search?

I tried recently to download a 64 bit codec in order to overcome a glitch in embedding videos. I picked a codec pack on CNET but in the course of the download wound up with STRONGVAULT but no codec. How can I get rid of STRONGVAULT? And get back to downloading the 64 bit codec that both Windows Media Player and iTunes said I need in order to embed videos in Powerpoint slide shows?
Windows 7, Office 2010 on a Dell laptop.

If it ends up being some particularly strong malware, then try something such as MBAM (Malwarebytes) to remove.

Strongvault application and uninstall

Strongvault is a free ad supported online backup system. You can uninstall by going to All Programs->Strongvault Online Backup->Uninstall.

If you've installed an older version, there are rare instances where the program might not completely uninstall. In those cases, you can fix this by running MIcrosoft's FixIt application which you can find here:

It puts either malware/crapware/spyware on a PC when it is installed.
