Can't view videos from my computer anymore

Hi,

I use to be able to connect wirelessly to my labtop and view videos on my hard drive. i just switch to fiber optics and now, I can connect wirelessly but all video file formats are me the error "File Format not supported".

I logged on to my modem but did not see anything that would give the error.

Can anyone give help me?

But there is an entry I put up at the CNET Networking Forum about a firewall setting that matters. I can't offer much given so little detail about your network.

I turned off the firewall and now it works. Dont like having my firewall off though. Will read your post on firewalls in depth. Is there a mention on how to create an exception on a firewall?

The cake is a lie. Sorry but all routers with NAT have a natural firewall but as you are selling these to consumers you can get a few more sales by adding another firewall that blocks communication inside your LAN.

So by design you had a firewall from the WAN to LAN and the extra firewall between the PCs on the LAN is for what reason?
