Recording on Sony RCDW500c CD Recorder

I own a RCD500c Sony CD Recorder. To record on this I use a TDK Music CDRW. TDK has stopped the manufacturing of their Music CDRW.
I would like to know if a Maxell XL-II 80 Music CDRw will record on this unit. Thank you.

But why CDRW? I used CDR for years because it was cheaper and played on more devices (like my car.)

Any CDRW you can record up to 1000 times and if you make a mistake you can go back and erase it. I record on a Music CDRW and when I am done I finalize it ,then I transfer it to a CDR. If you know the answer to this or know someone who might know please advise. Thanks for your reply.

only that it be Audio. So I take it as Music being Audio.

Maxell CD RW 80 Audio Pack 10 Maxell Rewritable audio CD for use with consumer audio CD-RW recorders. The CD-RW is an erasable type, and allows erasing and re-recording approximately 1,000 times. Excellent sound, extremely low error rate.

You always have to test one out to be certain

IME working with older standalone CD copiers like Sony & Phillips, you really have to test several brands to determine which ones will usually work. Case and point, my Phillips is about 7 yrs old now, and only ever accepted a few different brands. The Sony will no doubt be similar since it works the same way. Just go ahead and buy one to test it out before buying them in bulk, given the TDKs you know already work fine are mostly now only available via ebay.
