BeatBox+TV?

I have a new Monster BeatBox that I got for Christmas. Some friends and I want to hook up to a TV for the Superbowl next weekend. Can I use a regular 3.55mm Male component cable to connect the two? Or do I have to get a 3.55mm converter? (The one with the red and white cable on the other end). Thanks for the help.

Connect outputs to inputs and start with the volume knobs at zero. then slowly crank it up. You'll know if you got it right very quickly.
