Had my system for quite some time, and Ive been left a little behind with all that is going on with new systems. I run 2 amps , a Yamaha rx v440 for theatre, a proton 1100 and 1150 amp and pre amp for music.
A set of B&W speakers to both amps, which are more my music speakers, and a seperate full set of 4 speakers and sub to the theatre amp.
I have a projector and screen plus a plasma tv. I had a dvd player running to both amps, and a cd player to the music amp.
Now , the dvd player and the cd player have both passed away , and the globe has died in the projector all at once.
Now that I have to upgrade the old dvd player to something more modern , do I or should I upgrade the old theatre amp so they are compatible?I was looking at the yamaha RX-V373.
Can I get a blue ray DVD player that will also play cds well , that I can connect to both amps , or should I have 2 players like I had before hand.
Any help and advice appreciated , thanks Cam
