Cordless Phone w/o Ambient Noise Suppression

I often speak with people who are in noisy places and when I do, either I can't hear them or more often they can't hear me. Not due to the noise around them but because of the phone. It cuts out my voice when their side is noisy and vice versa. My previous phone, a cheap Panasonic, was great. I've tried a new Panasonic and now an ATT and both are awful. I'm screaming into the phone and even then they say they can't hear me.

Please provide more specifics about all equipment/makes/models/services/phone providers involved so we can assist more thoroughly.

For the record though, screaming into any phone obviously won't help wink.

Yes, screaming doesn't help most of the time (but actually sometimes it does). The phone is an AT&T Dect 6.0.

That's not a model number

DECT is a type of technology/cordless phone standard. See link here:

Flip over the phone base to get the model number wink

Might be the 'ClearSpeak' technology they are using

I recall hearing something along those lines regarding these DECT phones sold by ATT. You might also ask this same question in the ATT user forums (att site). (Sorry I don't have the URL handy.) This might take a little digging to isolate what you are experiencing.

Happened with a Panasonic also

I had a Panasonic, an old one which finally died. Got the same model and it was horrible. Went back to Best Buy and got this ATT model. Just as bad. What gives?
