Headphone Noises?

Hi everyone, i have an acer aspire 5742 laptop. The video and sound works perfectly without the ear/headphones and its very clear. But its when i plug and type of ear phones ie:apple or headphones ie:beats when i get problems. For example, when i play a song or video with my headphones in there is always a constant shwishy sound in the background. This is only when there is any type of noise playing. With headphones in and no video playing there is no shwishy noise. I have looked at loads of sites saying to clean the jack or increase volume or update software but it hasnt worked, and it was only since two months ago it started to happen

1. Take the advice so far. I've found those jacks to need cleaning but in this case I'd use my headphones, the ones that have a volume control then be sure the audio on the PC is above the 50% mark.

2. Make it a warranty issue. BEWARE they will wipe the hard drive so what a way to test if your backups work.

3. Use some USB audio card. I use that 2ish buck model on amazon. It's saved many a laptop from the service counter.
