How to overcome "buffering" on Roku 2 XD?

New to this, we just got our Roku and it is working pretty good.

Today we are trying to listen to radio stations, but it just says "buffering," and then it never starts playing.

We've watched movies on Netflix with it and that goes very well.

I checked out our internet speed and it says 3.06.

We are working with a wireless connection.

I really like this little gadget, and hope we learn how to overcome the quirks.

Roku 2XD doesn't have an ethernet port...

I think my problem is solved. I reset my Roku...

by unplugging the Roku and from the wall, then I unplugged the router, then I unplugged my modem. I waited about 20 seconds, then plugged in the moden, the router, and then the Roku, in that order. I waited for the Roku to reset and then I tried all the staions that I had trouble with and much to my surprise everything worked.

I don't know how long this will last, and if I'll have to do it again, but for now things look great!

There are so many causes to outright failures in internet media players that I'm guessing that you are unaware of how these things are not truly ready for "consumers." That is, if it fails and they don't offer support at least you should get a full refund.

Yes there can be DNS issues or such but why should a consumer become a network engineer?
