Please advise... Home Theater

I would love a kick a** home theater system... only problem is i don't know anything about how to go about it lol. I shifted through many reviews and came up with list:

$1100 Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 8350 Projector

$500 Yamaha RX-V673 AV Receiver
$320 Bic America FT-6T 400-Watt 6.5" Tower Speaker
$200 BIC America F12 12-Inch 475-Watt Subwoofer
$100 BIC America Venturi DV62CLR-S Center Speaker
$120 BIC America DV62si Bookshelf Speakers
$50 BIC AMERICA DV-32B 3 1/2" 2-Way Compact

It should be around 1300 for the surround sound. How would this system fair and are there any suggestions for how to improve or save on costs? Also does anyone have any idea how well this will work with a projector and if it is a good one lol.

Inputs to the projector unit would be the final destination for the video but the audio may have a convuluted course and result in a video/audio sync problem. You didn't specify the source for the media and the outputs from that device and its content (ie Dolby, HD, 1080P etc). Many devices will not pass the Dolby and other TruSurround content onto the amplifier. Some converters may be needed as a work around for the sync faults and that won't make itself apparent until it's all installed.

I think it is compatible but ill definitely make sure to check!

As for the system itself i guess it comes down to is BIC America as good as the reviews i have read? and is Yamaha RX-V673 AV Receiver a good match for BIC America?

Don't focus on that part so much

Focus on getting the speakers you end up with correctly placed in the room first. You can do a lot with most audio systems (even lower end) given that part is well take care of.

With any installation, the environment can make an expensive system sound muddled and missing highs. Speaker placement and wall treatments can make all the difference. Start with the front speakers alone and then add each element and work out each placement alone with just the front. Some will interact with another speaker and detract from the effect. Phasing is most important and most be adhered to.
