Split screen on an HD TV

I want to set up a split screen on a 60+" TV that offers great picture quality. Samsung and Panasonic do not offer split screen capability, so what other manufacturers have the capability? Alternatively, is there a way to have a split screen setup with a Samsung or a Panasonic?

There are video processors (yup, that's the name)

You can research video processors to achieve many effects. Some folk are talking PIP but I've found that to be limited. Your average cable box now has that.

PIP is nice, but I am looking for the ability to watch 2 channels at the same time without one of them being reduced to a small screen.

Usually in the cable box today. Why?

Because HD content is not over the RF connection since most cable companies scramble the content now.

To get 2 channels you need 2 cable boxes and frankly what a mess. So think about it and see how folk pull off this trick.
