VGA to 3 RCA Jacks

Poogie 420 had a question about this same system in 9/09 but the answer was inconclusive insofar as I can see so:I have the same phillips surround sw3440/37. I don't have the dvd player that came with the system. On the back of the bass speaker it has speaker connections for all the speakers. It also has a power cord. But in order to make it all work it has a vga 15 pin plug that goes to the dvd player. This is my question: with this setup, can I use a vga to rca adapter plug that I have found online to get where I need to be to use this on my T.V.?

My bet is that is not VGA but a 15 pin Dsub connection.

From what I read, there is no video on that.

It looks to be audio input to the receiver. I can't find a good online manual so to help others help you, you are most likely to find that online manual.
