Denon Receiver - Audio Issue

Recently i bought a Denon receiver 1913 but i m waiting on deciding the speakers. Just wanted to check, if it's possible to route the cable or ps3 thru' denon without the speakers. i connected the comcast cable box to denon recevier and denon receiver to samsung TV, i see the video but no audio. Is it possible to get the sound in the TV speakers without connecting any home theater speakers.

I assume you are using HDMI cables?
