Manage updates with the Download App
I just picked up a 60 inch LG LED/LCD tv. Model number is 60LS5700. The remote makes everything flow quite a bit better when doing anything on screen and the price i ended up getting it for was a deal. But that's where the good ends. The response time is terrible, playing any time on either xbox360 or ps3 would have about a 200ms input lag. I don't know of any way to accurately time this and it's just me timing in my head but very noticeable and pretty much makes gaming impossible. I tweaked all the settings i heard would help like renaming hdmi1 to PC, turning on/off TrueMotion, and turning on/off any extra features that might slow things down. I also tried 2 different hdmi cables and the component cable through the xbox, none of which i had any problems with on my previous tv. Is there some fix for this and if not what tv should i be looking for with the least input lag?

I am not a LG rep/fan/tech. But I've lost count of the times I make the call for the client (cha-ching) and the support tells me how to set it up.

haven't checked the website for updates but it did do 2 updates to the firmware when it started and was connected to internet. called into visions (where i bought it) and lg. neither could help. would lg's website have any updates the tv wouldn't pull automaticly?

Keep in mind I've yet to encounter such a set that didn't get into game mode and drop the delay to normal. But I'm not there, don't own this model so my advice is just that and no cure.
Sounds like a return to me and try another.

Best is a moving target and I can't follow that. Gamers tend to pay for a millisecond advantage so that's beyond what I can offer here.
All I can say is I've yet to see this issue on sets I can grab today. At worst I saw a single frame delay but never more than that.
