Hi, I have an Onkyo receiver setup with 6 speakers for surround sound, including the sub woofer. Since I was pretty much new to all that when I bought it, I simply set the volume level to max on all speakers, then set the equalizer levels for each frequency by ear until I felt the sounds were nice, then set the cross over frequency to 80 for the sub. I have no complaints on the sound. But my question is, since I had nothing before this, is there a better way to calibrate and make sure all sounds are being heard? How would I know I have everything set to optimal? Is there a test kit anyone can recomend?
Thanks
