Back in September I went out and got myself a nice pair of $50 Skullcandy earbuds. they featured a built in microphone and a small thing to switch and pause songs. After about a month the rubbery (silicon maybe?) cover protecting the ens of the erabuds (where the jack is) slipped. Anyways with this off I can look at wires etc. Anyways earlier today I moticed the thing used to start and stop songs just stopped working amd the earbuds are less than fine. Plugged in they made a distorted noise and by twisting the output (know absolutely no audio terms sorry, i mean the little jack) I can get different noises out of it some that are almost normal. Also when i push the wire into te jack it sounds better. I tried listening to music and rotating the jack thing. all it did was raise the volume a few notches (weird huh?) I know my earbuds are probably beyond repair but cam someone please explain what happened? Also bear with me as this is from a mobile device, thanks
